Gerson Couto, or Gerson, as he prefers, was born in Santos-São Paulo, grew up in João Monlevade - Minas Gerais, and now lives in Rio de Janeiro. Having graduated in Dance at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, he now studies at Centro de Artes Nós da Dança, dedicating his life entirely to the Arts and bringing to reality all the artistic ideas that appear in his mind.

Writer for the blog Dito Pelo Maldito, where he has the "A Maldição do Cinema", in which he talks weekly about horror movies.
In 2013, he was invited to pose for the lens of the Lithuanian photographer Renonas Maknys. He has since been working with other photographers, such as Chilean Alvaro Riveros and Brazilian Fábio Pamplona and for the artist Claudio Villela.
